We just returned from a 3 day stay at the Monarch Spur and what a treat! It was lovely. Lots of trees just far enough into the tree line that you’re no longer on the boiling hot planes. Great rustic decor, clean comfortable bathrooms, fresh creek flowing though and close to a lot of great hikes. Highly recommend going up to boss lake and then doing the wildflower hike too. Enjoy the hummingbirds at the park as well! Only suggestion is that they start selling pancake mix ;).
