This was one of those “chance” finds as a stopover point en-route to Colorado Springs from Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. We were delighted to find a very charming family owned campground, with WiFi and friendliness. We were only here overnight, but learned from folks in the neighboring campsite that they come every year and stay for a few weeks! I can see why. It’s that “in between” spot that’s away from the cities, quiet, and the peace you want on a mountain vacation. I could see that it is well prepared for the onslaught of skiers that obviously use this as a stay spot. We’re from CA so it’s not a spot we’d easily get back to, but if we were within a few hundred miles of here, it would be a regular camp spot for us.
